Geotextile Effective Aperture Tester Operation Guide

I. Overview:
This instrument is suitable for the determination of the effective aperture of all types of fabric products. Its performance in line with GB/T17634 "Determination of effective pore size of geotextiles and related products - wet sieve method" standard instrument requirements.
Second, the test principle:
Single-layer geotextiles without tension and their related product samples are used as screens, and the sample and gradation particles are sprayed with water under the specified vibration frequency and amplitude to pass the particles through the sample. The effective pore size of the sample is represented by the passed particulate material and a specific particle size.
Third, the technical parameters:
1, the holder diameter: Φ130mm
2, vibration frequency: 50Hz
3, vibration amplitude: 1.5mm (vibration height 3mm)
4, the time setting: divided into two files 0 ~ 99.99s
0~99 minutes 59s
5, matching motor: 2800rpm. 550Kw
6、Power supply: Ac220V±10% 50Hz
7. Overall dimensions: 680×420×750mm
8, Weight: 50Kg
Fourth, the instrument structure and working principle:
1, appearance (see Figure 1, outline drawing)
The instrument consists of a base plate 1, a cover 2, a holder and a screening device, a spray system and the like.
A mounting slot is formed on the four corners of the bottom plate 1, and can be fixed on the foundation or the worktable by bolts; the counter 17, the power switch 15, and the start button 16 are installed in the control area on the upper left corner of the cover 2. The cover is not in direct contact with the screening vibration device, reducing the impact of vibration.
The spray system is installed on the pillar on the right side of the floor and consists of a water inlet 14, a flow switch 13, a metal hose 11, and a shower head 10. The shower head is provided with a splash cover 9, and the shower head is placed inside the transparent cover 8 when in use. Apply a splash-proof lid and clip 7 to prevent splashing. Collecting tank 5 is rigidly coupled to vibrating head 4, and a collecting tube 3 is disposed on the left side. The bottom of the collecting tank is equipped with a supporting grid 18. The sample is laid on the grid and pressed by a clamper 6 and then turned over. The bolt and star handle 12 are pressed tightly.
2, the transmission system:
It is directly driven by an attached concrete vibrator and is driven by an eccentric wheel-linkage mechanism to vibrate at a certain vibration frequency and amplitude. All transmission elements are mounted on a flat plate, which is supported by four spring-damped columns. The vibration head and the flat plate are also connected by spring-damping columns to reduce the influence of vibration on the instrument.
3, electrical control
V. External environment:
1. The worktable is flat, stable, and has good vibration resistance.
2. Isolate from instruments that are sensitive to vibration.
3, temperature 10 ~ 30 °C humidity ≤ 80%
4、Power supply: Ac220V±10% 50Hz
5, external water supply must be regulated water.
Sixth, the operation steps:
1. The holder 6 is removed, the sample is flat and flat without strong force on the supporting grid 18, and then it is pressed tightly with a holder, and the sample should be kept horizontal.
2. The particulate material selected according to the standard is evenly sprinkled on the sample.
3. Turn on the power and turn on the power switch 15.
4, set on the timer 17 vibration time (according to GB/T17634-1998 standard can be set to 600 seconds, the instrument timer with two timekeeping function, respectively, the setting range of 0 ~ 99.99s and 0 ~ 99 minutes 59s).
5. Inlet water inlet 14 is connected with an external water source, and the shower head 10 is placed inside the transparent cover 8, covered with a splash cover, and the clip 7 is buckled to open the flow control valve 13, and the sample is sprayed.
6. Press start button 16 to start the test.
7. Pass the particles of the sample out of the collection tank 3 and collect them.
8. After reaching the set time, stop the instrument from vibrating.
9. Collect unpassed particulate material and sample.
10, test results according to GB/T17634-1998 standard processing.
11. After the instrument is finished, turn off the power and clean the instrument.
