What are the basic types of common grinding machines?

(1) According to the type of grinding media

â‘  mill medium is a metal ball (ball or cast iron ball).

The 2 rod mill media is a steel rod.

3 Gravel mill uses gravel as the grinding medium.

4 Self-grinding machine relies on large ore as grinding medium, and sometimes a small amount of steel ball.

(2) According to the method of discharging

1 Overflow type grinding machine It freely overflows the slurry through the hollow journal of the discharge end, see Figure 2-16(a).

2 grid type ball mill which discharges by means of the pores installed on the grid plate at the discharge end, see Figure 2-16(b).

3 Peripheral discharge type grinding machine It discharges through the periphery of the cylinder, see Figure 2-16(d).

(3) According to the shape of the cylinder

1 short cylinder type grinding machine

≤1.o~1·5 (L is the length of the mill and D is the diameter of the mill).
