Meizhou ship first installed high-tech navigation aids

A few days ago, the Maritime Safety Administration of the Ministry of Transport and the Guangdong Maritime Safety Administration gave a free ship identification system with a value of more than 200,000 yuan to Meizhou. It is planned to be distributed to a total of 60 passenger ships of 9 shipping companies in the city. The relevant installation and commissioning work will be in early November. carry out.
In order to promote the modernization of shipping in the jurisdiction and further ensure the safety and smooth flow of water traffic, the Meizhou Maritime Safety Administration actively strives to install such high-tech navigation aids for the first time for Meizhou ships. The ship automatic identification system is composed of shore-based (base station) facilities and shipborne equipment. In conjunction with the global positioning system, the ship's static data such as ship speed and ship name are transmitted from VHF channels to nearby waters and shores. Broadcasting enables nearby ships and shore stations to keep abreast of the information of all ships on the nearby water surface, and can immediately call and coordinate with each other to take necessary avoidance actions to ensure the safety of the ship.
