Honda's sales in China fell further in July

According to recent Honda official news, Honda sold 51,140 vehicles in China in July, a slight decrease of 1.7% year-on-year, continuing the downward trend in June. Among the two major joint ventures, sales of Guangzhou Automobile Honda have increased significantly, while Dongfeng Honda has dropped significantly.

January-July cumulative sales of 367,000 vehicles, down 3.0% year-on-year

Honda Motors official data show that in July 2013, Honda sold 51,140 vehicles in the Chinese market, which fell 1.7% year-on-year (in July 2012, it sold 52,045 vehicles).

From January to July, Honda’s cumulative sales in China reached 367,718 units, which was 3.0% lower than the 379,058 units sold in the same period of last year. This figure is also higher than the cumulative sales in July 2011 (322,768 units).

This year, Honda's overall decline in China's decline has been relatively low among Japanese automakers, but it has only increased by 1, 5 months. After the rebound in May, it failed to extend the upward momentum and continued to decline in June and July. Honda said that this year the new generation of Accord mid-size cars will be listed in China, which will promote sales growth.

The broad-based counterattack rose sharply

Honda Automobile's two major joint venture subsidiaries in China, Guangzhou Automobile Honda, a substantial increase, while Dongfeng Honda suddenly fell, the absolute value of the increase and decrease of the two are basically equal.

In July, Guangzhou Automobile Honda Motor Co., Ltd. sold 32,007 vehicles in July and 24,378 vehicles in July last year, an increase of 31.3% year-on-year. Dongfeng Honda's domestic sales in July were 19,133 units, compared with 27,667 units in the same period of last year, down 30.9% year-on-year. It is reported that the "replacement price surge" of Guangzhou dealers has contributed to the growth of Guangben's sales.
