Three Questions Determine Human Settlements on Mars

Recent explorations of Mars have been inexhaustible. Now, there are still many problems in setting up Mars, but it is worthwhile for us to think of some ways to solve these problems.
The first problem to be solved is that we can use the ice on Mars to get water. The most exciting news came when humans discovered ice on Mars. Second, it is to solve the problem of food production. However, relying on current technology still cannot solve such problems. Even the most promising Mars colonies must rely on transporting food from the earth to them. Really promising colonies must establish a self-sufficient food chain, which requires technological innovation in the human industrial or agricultural field.
The background radiation on Mars is thousands of times higher than Earth's, so even if we can successfully solve all other problems, people living on Mars may not be able to live for a long time, and their lives will be shorter than those on Earth. The disease will also increase. Human development has not evolved to adapt to the Martian environment.
