The first problem to be solved is that we can use the ice on Mars to get water. The most exciting news came when humans discovered ice on Mars. There is even evidence that ice was originally in the form of liquid water. If the Mars colony is located near a glacier, humans may turn ice into potable water and breathable air. Of course, it will take a long time to meet the basic needs of the early colonies.
Second, it is to solve the problem of food production. However, relying on current technology still cannot solve such problems.
