A large number of new energy vehicles are behind a larger supply of battery products. The performance of the power battery will decrease with the increase of the number of times of charging. When the battery capacity is reduced to less than 80% of the rated capacity, the power battery is not suitable for use in electric vehicles . The first electric vehicles are measured by the service life of the battery and will soon be "fully scrapped."

It is predicted that by 2020, the cumulative production and sales volume of new energy vehicles will reach 5 million, and the amount of power batteries will be more than 248,000 tons. As we all know, a button battery can pollute 600,000 square meters of water, which is equivalent to the water consumption of a person's life; a 5th battery will permanently lose the value of cultivated land in 1 square meter of land... In the process of recycling, in view of the battery The hazards must be handled properly. The harmful substances such as mercury, lead, cadmium, acid and alkali contained in the rechargeable batteries of new energy vehicles, if there is no scientific and rigorous recycling channels, the damage to the natural environment should not be underestimated.

On February 26, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Commerce, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the Energy Bureau jointly issued a notice on the "Interim Measures for the Management of Recycling and Utilization of Power Battery for New Energy Vehicles" to encourage automobile manufacturers, Battery manufacturers, scrapped car recycling and dismantling enterprises and comprehensive utilization enterprises have cooperated in various forms to jointly build and share recycling channels for used power batteries.

The seven departments jointly issued the "Interim Measures for the Management of Recycling and Utilization of Power Battery for New Energy Vehicles", which shows that the emphasis on battery recycling has reached an unprecedented level.

It is reported that the recycling of power batteries is mainly divided into two ways: step utilization and disassembly.

At present, listed companies have built a relatively complete circular economy industrial chain for recycling and recycling of used batteries, and realized the added value of their own profits in the fully enclosed industrial chain of “raw materials – product application – operation services – resource recycling – raw materials”. This provides a new idea for the industry to think that “recycling costs are high and profitability is difficult”.

At this year's National Conference, some representatives have proposed the "Recycling and Utilization of New Energy Vehicle Power Battery", including accelerating the formulation of laws and regulations, building a management system, increasing key technology research and development, and promoting commercial development.

The monitoring of used vehicles and used batteries by vehicle manufacturers is obviously limited. Due to environmental considerations, this is the responsibility and responsibility of the entire automotive industry.
