At present, the Zuoanmen Apartment in Fengtai District of Beijing has completed the renovation project for the pilot project of the smart community. Fan Guoping, head of the Intelligent Community Project of the Beijing Municipal Electric Power Company, said that within the smart community, relying on power-fibre-home technology, the Internet, telecommunications network, and television network have converged.

The two-way interaction between the power grid and the customer and the smart home control in the intelligent community allow users to remotely control household appliances such as air conditioners, TVs, rice cookers, and washing machines even if they are not at home.

Fan Guoping said that in addition to internal intelligence, the community advocates energy-saving, environmental protection, and low-carbon lifestyles, making full use of clean energy, and accepting solar, wind, natural gas, and other forms of power generation.

The reporter saw in the left-door security community that three electric car charging piles were installed outside the apartment, and solar photovoltaic power generation equipment was installed on the rooftops of apartments. There were 2 wind-solar hybrid street lights in the community yard. The top of this street lamp has a fan and a solar panel, which can use either wind or solar power.

Fan Guoping said that due to the instability of solar energy and wind energy, it cannot be used directly for normal electrical appliances. Therefore, in the process of transforming the entire smart community, technicians adopted the domestic first microgrid control technology to uniformly manage and automatically regulate the power, energy storage, and load. Even if multiple power sources are connected to the same power source, they can be safe. , stability and continuity.

It is understood that the pilot smart community has achieved waste heat recovery during the use of clean energy such as gas, solar energy, and wind and solar energy, and the overall efficiency has reached over 80%.
