SCHOTTEL received orders for propellers for 8 ferries

Based on a hybrid drive thruster, SCHOTTEL's SRE integrates a vertical motor into the rudder propeller unit, eliminating the need for the upper two angle gears and increasing mechanical efficiency by 2%. This compact motor and drive combination also simplifies the installation process.

The Schotter SRE EcoPeller system has a power range of 1000-4500 kW and can be either a fixed pitch propeller or a controllable pitch propeller. It has the function of moving the propeller blade to a low-resistance position when required. The standard configuration is an asynchronous motor or a permanent magnet motor.

The EcoPeller is also equipped with SCHOTTEL's High Torque Gearbox (HTG) technology, which increases the drive torque of the same size by 15% and provides high safety. Despite the higher drive torque, a more compact underwater gearbox housing is also available for improved hydrodynamic propulsion efficiency.
