According to estimates, by 2015, Shanghai's foreign service stations will reach around 930-955, including 40-50 highway gas stations. In addition, the gas stations in Shanghai's downtown area will be mainly optimized layout, and the total amount will be strictly controlled. In principle, no additional gas stations will be added. Among them, Zhabei, Hongkou and other central areas have gradually reduced the scale of facility supply. The newly planned gas stations are in principle located in areas where there is not enough gas station construction and there are no service stations, and the main growth points are in Pudong New Area, Songjiang District, Minhang District, and Qingpu District, with emphasis on suburban new towns, key town areas, and important industries. New sites will also be considered in conjunction with the construction of large transport hubs, large communities, large commercial facilities, large logistics bases, and important industrial bases.
