China's first fully intelligent wind power dispatching system built

Guidance: From the Northwest Grid Company, it was learned that the Northwest Grid Wind Power Dispatching Automation System passed the acceptance check of the pilot project organized by the State Grid Corporation of China. The system can complete the entire process management of wind power forecasting, operation monitoring and control, operation data analysis and evaluation, marking the Northwest Wind power has entered a new phase of refined dispatch operation.

Northwest wind energy resources are abundant. In 2010, the total installed capacity of northwestern power grid reached 9.79 million kilowatts, accounting for about 15% of the total installed capacity in the northwest. According to the plan, by 2020, the installed capacity of wind power in northwest China will reach 30 million kilowatts. Jiuquan Wind Power, which is connected to the Northwest 750 kV power grid, is the first multi-million-scale wind power base built and put into operation in China. The current total installed capacity reaches 5.16 million kilowatts. The rapid development of wind power has greatly increased the proportion of clean energy generated by the Northwest Power Grid. Wind power has become an important force for the transmission of Sanhua Power Grid by the Northwest Power Grid, and has contributed to alleviating the sustained power shortage this year.

At the same time as the large-scale development of wind power, its access has brought far-reaching impact and arduous challenges to the operation of the power grid. In order to solve the scheduling operation problem after wind power access, the Northwest Power Grid Corporation has designed and built a wind power dispatch automation system based on the D5000. This has overcome many problems such as wind power single-machine information collection and wind power automatic control. It was completed in June 2011 and put into trial operation. The commissioning of the system has effectively improved the refinement level of wind power dispatching operation, improved the system's safe and stable operation capability, and provided technical support for the development and acceptance of wind power.

It is understood that the automation system is the first wind power dispatching system based on the D5000 platform of the intelligent dispatching technology support system. As one of the large-scale wind power prediction and operation control pilot projects of the State Grid Corporation of China, the system includes short-term wind power. And the six modules of ultra-short-term power forecasting, wind power operation monitoring, wind power automatic control, wind power acceptance capacity evaluation, wind power auxiliary service statistics, and wind power operation data analysis have won 6 patents and many technologies have taken a leading position in China.
