The request puts a severe test on each vehicle manufacturer.
To meet the new regulatory requirements, from April 2005, the Chongqing company set up a project team to conduct a thorough investigation on the development status of the Euro III engine. Start preparation for forward-looking technology development. Weichai Power is a strategic partner of the North Mercedes-Benz Company. We have increased the matching efforts of the Weichai-Europe III engine in the Tiema Automobile from both the market and the technology. In the market, through the strong promotion of sales personnel and sellers, we have gained the trust and support of users. In terms of technology, we strengthened communication and cooperation with Weichai, strengthened technical training and learning, thoroughly studied the matching points of Weichai Euro III diesel engine, and discussed the installation of ECU controllers, the matching of the engine's external circuit, and the connection and installation of wiring harnesses. The meticulous work such as the selection of connectors and the selection of control switches on the instrument panel ensure that each link has been implemented. The project team members have not let off any insignificant subtle design and checked at every level. The elaborate Euro III engine has been developed. Matching the development of the special plan, on July 9, 2006 the successful completion of all the engineering design work, transferred to the production trial stage.
With the concerted efforts of the Department of Health, Distribution, Quality Assurance and other departments, the spare parts needed for the trial production of prototypes were all in place on August 1, 2006 and installed on August 2. All departments of Chongqing company attached great importance and went all out to actively participate in the trial production of the first Euro III engine. The Weichai experts were even a step away from the assembly site. The technical center designers ran up and down, compared the design drawings with the workshop process. The personnel and the operator jointly confirm the state of the assembly technology and make detailed on-site records.
At present, the prototype has successfully passed the test and road test, the engine's performance indicators meet the design requirements. Satisfaction of the user satisfied with the signing of 20 units of the contract, this prototype is the first implementation of the contract.
