At present, China's petrochemical industry is moving in the direction of large-scale, large-scale and internationalization, and it will maintain sustainable development in the next five years. Tens of thousands of tons of oil refining equipment and one million tons of ethylene equipment will be newly built, renovated and expanded domestically, opening up a vast market for the demand for petrochemical pumps. The development direction of Sinopec's pumps in the next five years will be large-scale, high-speed, mechanical and electrical integration, as well as complete sets of products, standardization, serialization and generalization. In particular, the production technologies of high-temperature pumps, cryogenic pumps, cryogenic pumps, precision metering pumps, anti-corrosion pumps, conveying viscous mediums, and pumps with solid particles and canned pumps will rapidly develop, and the demand will increase substantially.

China's apparent consumption has reached a quarter of the world's highest level and close to the global total consumption. The per capita consumption of stainless steel has reached 3.4KG, ranking the forefront of developing countries. The stainless steel pump has excellent characteristics such as corrosion resistance, high strength, light weight and long service life. In recent years, stainless steel pumps have been widely used in shipbuilding, rail vehicles and other transportation industries. With the development of machinery manufacturing, stainless steel pumps will have a broader application prospects. However, the growth rate of consumption has gradually slowed down, and the ultra-high-speed development stage with an average annual growth rate of over 30% has changed into a steady development stage with a current growth rate of 6.43%.

Although the development of the valve industry has been relatively stable for a long time, its competition is still not standardized. The main problems are as follows: First, some operators purchase valves for the manufacturer's name and address, or print well-known manufacturers' brand names and certificates, misleading consumers. The reputation of qualified valve companies is seriously jeopardized. Second, some of the operators had to make second sales after refurbishing and repainting the used valves, which brought serious safety risks to the project quality and severely disturbed the market order of the valves.

The valve industry in China has been developed for several decades from the beginning to the present. During this period, the valve standards have also achieved considerable development. The price of the valve market is relatively stable. Although there are slight increases and decreases every year, the range is very small and the market prospect is still promising.

According to the statistical data provided by the National Bureau of Statistics of China in 2009, there are more than 1,700 enterprises above designated size in China's valve manufacturing industry, with 3.26 million tons of valve production, total industrial output value of 114.7 billion yuan, and total profit of 6.39 billion yuan. In the future, the valve industry will develop in two major directions. First, it will develop from a single species to more varieties and more specifications, and second, it will develop in the direction of energy conservation. In order to meet the needs of a complete set of manufacturing projects, an enterprise needs to manufacture the valves needed for the project, which determines that all the valve manufacturers will provide more and more trends. In recent years, energy conservation has become the principle and goal of industrial development. From the aspect of energy conservation, the development of steam traps is a general trend, and it has been developed to subcritical and supercritical high parameters to meet the demand for the development of low energy consumption of pharmaceutical machinery and equipment.
