Navistar Appoints New COO

Navistar recently announced that the company’s board of directors has appointed Jack Allen, 55, as executive vice president and chief operating officer, effective immediately.

Troy Clarke, president and CEO of Navistar, stated: "Jack Allen is a results-oriented leader and has a deep understanding of the commercial truck industry and Navistar."

Jack Allen's most recent position was President of Navier North America's truck and parts business. He first joined Navistar in 1981 and served as president of the Navistar Engine Group. During this time, he led the department to complete Brazil. The acquisition of the engine manufacturer MWM and a partnership with the German MAN truck.

So far, Jack Allen has worked at Navistar for 31 years. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and a master's degree in engineering management from Illinois Institute of Technology.
