Lead-acid battery industry continues to grow rapidly in China

From the 8th China International Lead-Acid Battery and Lithium Battery Expo, which is being held in Beijing, it has been learned that in recent years, driven by both international and domestic markets, China’s lead-acid battery industry has continued to grow at a high rate and has become the largest in the world. Lead-acid battery producer, exporter and consumer.

According to official statistics, in 2009, the total output of lead-acid batteries in China was approximately 120 million kVA, and total sales exceeded 100 billion yuan. Lead-acid batteries account for 30% of China's battery output value. In the past five years, China's lead-acid battery production and exports have maintained a growth rate of more than 20%.

It is noted that the vast majority of exhibitors, except for a few overseas manufacturers from Japan, South Korea and Bangladesh, come from China.

It is understood that the current domestic lead-acid battery manufacturers up to 1500 or so, including Matsushita, Johnson and other internationally renowned battery manufacturers established joint venture or wholly-owned enterprises. These enterprises are mainly distributed in the coastal provinces and cities of East China and Hebei, Hubei and Heilongjiang.

In the rapid development of domestic lead-acid batteries, people are also very concerned about the existence of water pollution and dust pollution in this industry. In recent years, environmental protection departments at all levels have continuously increased the supervision of lead-acid battery manufacturers' sewage discharge.

It is noted that some of the exhibitors are environmental protection equipment manufacturers that provide lead-acid battery companies with professional environmental protection solutions.
