In the future, this will become the design, manufacturing and R&D center of high-end products in Lifan Auto.

The base has an annual output value of 25 billion yuan

According to an announcement released by Lifan, the controlling shareholder Chongqing Lifan Holdings Co., Ltd. has signed a framework investment agreement with the Liangjiang New Area Management Committee on January 26th. Lifan Holdings or its subsidiaries will acquire about 1,100 mu of planned industrial land in Liangjiang New District. The site is intended to be the future development land for mid- to high-end cars, new energy vehicles, automotive engines, automotive assembly and automotive technology research institutes of Lifan Holdings or its subsidiaries.

According to the preliminary plan, Lifan's production base is located in Longxing Industrial Park, Industrial Development Zone of Liangjiang New District. The investment plan simulation is 3.5 billion yuan. It plans to produce 200,000 medium and high-grade cars, 50,000 new energy vehicles and 300,000 automobile engines per year. At the same time, it will produce 80,000 sets of auto export components and one auto technology research institute.

“The project is planned to be completed within two and a half years, that is, it will be put into operation in 2013. Once completed, it will achieve an annual output value of 25 billion yuan, a tax of 600 million yuan, and provide 10,000 jobs for the local community.” said Yin Mingshan, chairman of Lifan Holdings. The state has formulated various preferential policies for the Liangjiang New District. Lifan will seize the new opportunities for the rapid development of the Liangjiang New Area to prepare land for the future development of passenger vehicles. He said that Lifan, including the new base, already has six factories in Liangjiang New District, including the current car factory, mini vehicle factory, engine factory and automobile research institute, as well as auto and motorcycle export bases.

The starting price for the transfer price is 677 million yuan. The plot is located near the Jialing River in Jiangbeizui and close to the Qianmenkou Bridge under construction. The plot is used for commercial finance. According to the price of Lifan's land, the equivalent floor price is 7321 yuan per square meter. It is worth noting that this is Chongqing Lifan's first acquisition of land through bidding, which also means that Lifan has officially entered the real estate industry.
