Guangzhou adjusts more than 120 traffic lights

Yesterday, the Guangzhou traffic police informed the media about the work carried out for 15 days since the city’s traffic signal light investigation activities. According to statistics, in the past half a month, Guangzhou traffic police collected a total of nearly 700 relevant opinions and optimized traffic signals at more than 120 intersections in the city.

On May 6, the traffic police department initiated a large-scale investigation of nearly 2500 traffic lights (road sections) in the city’s administrative area, and invited the public to give their opinions. As of yesterday, the traffic police collected a total of 689 suggestions from the public. Of these, 72 questions for consultation and interpretation have been answered one by one, and 27 traffic signal failure reimbursement classes have all been dealt with. The public suggestions for the 101 new signal lights have also been registered and will be reported to the municipal construction department after field investigation.
