Dongfeng Motor builds its factory in Thailand

It is reported that Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. will build a car manufacturing plant in Thailand as a production base in Southeast Asia and export light commercial vehicles to the surrounding markets of Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and Malaysia. Dongfeng Motor (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and Taihua Farmers Bank signed a financial support agreement totaling 10,682 million Baht (about US$3.2 million) in Bangkok for the construction and production of the Dongfeng Motor Manufacturing Plant in Thailand. The manufacturing plant is located in Bangkok's suburbs of Chaliu Industrial Park. It has been initially put into production and is expected to produce 5,000 light commercial vehicles each year.
